Patricia Dare

Patricia M. Dare, 60, of East Moline, lost her battle to A.L.S. on Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, surrounded by her family at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 5, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Burial is at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to the family.

Patricia was born March 19, 1953, in Moline, the daughter of Carl A. and Marie L. York Engwall. She married her childhood sweetheart, Donald E. Dare Sr. on Aug. 14, 1971, in Moline.

Patricia was employed as a waitress for the Moline Maid-Rite on 16th Street and also the Moline Denny's. She loved reading and dancing, listening to country music and watching NASCAR. Patricia also was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Dare Sr., East Moline; sons, Donald E. Dare Jr., New Bern, N.C., Michael L. Dare, Camden, Mo.; daughter, Misty (Mitch) Robbins, Davenport; grandchildren, Donald E. Dare III, Franklin Arthur Aaron Dare, Katherine Ann Marie Dare, Mitchell Eugene Robbins Jr. and Matthew Carl Robbins; mother, Marie Engwall, East Moline; sisters, Carline Lee, Moline, Jody (Mick) Spies, New Liberty; brother, Michael (Sharon) Engwall, Davenport.

She was preceded in death by her father.
