SALEM, Ore. — Carol Jean Buck (Estes), 66, passed away on March 5, 2019, at Salem Hospital in Oregon. She was the wife of Gary Buck. They shared 43 years together.

She was born in Tupelo, Miss., on March 2, 1953, to Roy Estes and Norma Mullins (Estes). She graduated from Moline High School and grew up as a member of Moline Gospel Temple. In high school she was a gymnast. Carol had made homes in many states during her life: Mississippi, Illinois, Missouri, California and Oregon. Carol's work included accounting and homemaking. She was most proud of being a devoted wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister and aunt. She had a special talent for gathering the family together.

Carol enjoyed painting, floral and jewelry design. Her favorite memories include vacationing in Mexico, spoiling her grandchildren and holidays with family.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Buck; children, Olivia Kulick (Eric), Alana Thiebes (Andrew), Tim Estes (Fran), Jon Estes (Tabatha), Leia Peterson (Tom); and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by Roy Estes (father) and grandparents.
