Bernard Robertson

Funeral services for Bernard L. "Bernie" Robertson, 57, of Moline, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline.

Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Robertson died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at his home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Bernie was born July 21, 1953, in Moline, the son of Bernard D. and Lois Whitehair Robertson. He married Dollie Egert July 5, 1975, in Moline.

He worked for Sivyer Steel, Bettendorf. He loved sports and enjoyed watching it on television. He had been an excellent softball pitcher and had played for both the White Horse Inn, Moline, and the Rock Island Moose, Rock Island.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Jacks, Moline; son, Daniel (Alisa) Robertson, Moline; grandchildren, Kaleb and Hannah Jacks, Lydia and Ezekiel Robertson, and Gavin Hochstein; parents, Bernard D. and Lois Robertson, Moline; brothers, Greg (Pat) Robertson, Moline, Mark (Mona) Robertson, Moline.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
