Beverly Thompson

Beverly E. Thompson, 59, of Carbon Cliff, died on Thursday, March 21, 2013, in East Moline Nursing and Rehab Center.

Services are at 6 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is 4 p.m. until service time. Graveside services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

The former Beverly Elaine Byrd was born on July 17, 1953, in Kewanee, the daughter of Earnest and Shirley Shaw Byrd.

She was a nurse at various nursing homes in the Quad-Cities, including Oak Glen Home in Coal Valley, and Aspen Health and Rehab in Silvis.

Beverly attended the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS in Moline. She enjoyed drawing, writing poetry, genealogy and cooking.

She is survived by three daughters, Heather and Anthony Roseman, Dugway, Utah, Ashley Thompson, Carbon Cliff, and Andrea Thompson, Davenport; seven grandchildren; her mother, Shirley Byrd, Carbon Cliff; siblings, Evelyn Steel, Hillsboro, Ill., Paula and Shad McKay, Hampton, Randall and Jeannette Byrd, Moline, Richard Byrd, Colona, and Tracy Byrd and Randall Smith, New Boston; and many nieces and nephews, including Bethany Silk, Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her father.
