Colleen Wassenhove

Colleen S. Wassenhove, 53, of Moline, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2006, at her residence.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline. Visitation is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Park Cemetery, East Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lance Armstrong Cancer Foundation or SBL Foundation of Hope.

Colleen was born on Dec. 12, 1952, in Rock Island, the daughter of Frank E. and Pauline Ruby Wood. She married Donald J. Wassenhove on March 17, 1973, in Moline.

She was employed at School District 40 Credit Union.

Colleen was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, life member of Moline PTA and Past Worthy Advisor of Rainbow, Moline. She enjoyed quilting and the outdoors. Colleen had an infectious smile and contagious laugh.

Survivors include her husband, Don; sons and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Melanie Wassenhove, Moline, Samuel Wassenhove and fiancee, Morgan DeMaranville, Rock Island; grandson, Xander; mother, Pauline Wood, Atalissa, Iowa; sister, Sharen Hartz, Iowa City; brother, Michael Wood, Davenport. She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie and her father.
