Sorry to read about Carol Freed List's passing.  Carol was always so positive and upbeat.  we would meet Carol and Bill occasionally during post-MHS years in the 1970's.  Best wishes to you, Bill.

Add me to those who are so sorry to hear of Carol's passing. Condolences to Bill -- my goodness, think how many years they were married. Carol was an equal opportunity classmate, cordial and friendly to everyone. I remember a Halloween party where we all gathered in her terrifying cellar, making out way through spider webs and ghost-y things. May she rest in peace.

Recently I was reviewing my file of the 55th reunion pictures I took. I do that purposely from time to time. One of the most memorable and joyous is one, perhaps two, of Carol and Bill rockin' n'rollin' on the dance floor at Eagle Rock's banquet hall.  And that is exactly how I htink of Carol in MHS years. Cheerful, open-hearted, and mad about Bill. All these years later, I am thankful for the big smile that crosses my face in remembering Carol. Warmest sympathies for you and your loss, Bill.

So sad to learn that Carol Freed List has died.  Carol was such a bright spirit, a positive presence and a warm-hearted friend.  Although my contact with her was very limited, memories from Mount Hebron days and engagement during the 50th Reunion bring Carol strongly to mind.  Deep condolences to Bill and family.

We are devastated to learn of Johnny Cushman's passing.  What a great, funny classmate.... and an outstanding Class President, and always a dedicated ambassador of Montclair High School as well as our town.

John went on to develop an amazing career with twin brother, Lou.  But as busy as he was, he managed to come to class reunions and spend time with the many fellow graduates who attended.
we shall miss the great stories and laughs we all shared....Indeed, Life is just too short.

We send prayers and  dear thoughts to the entire Cushman family.

Sincerely,

Nancy (Crook) Rhodes and Dusty Rhodes

Priscilla and I are sorry to learn of John Cushman's death. Naturally, we particularly think of the sad impact on Louis and on Johnny's and his families. Woodstock, Vermont is the only place I have lived or soujourned from New Jersey to Texas, and New York to the West Coast that has not had one or more of the Red and White 'Cushman Real Estate' signs nearby.  There is a property in New Hampshire just up the road from this location.  I remember John as a smart, friendly guy, who exuded enthusiasm for whatever he was doing.  A faultless recipe for the well earned success he enjoyed.  We wish the family much comfort in one another and friends.  Diana

John Cushman was a star in so many ways.  We had the fun of knowing John, Jeannie and Lou and Cristie here in Wyoming, where George and I have lived the past 31 years.  Always a smile on his face and a good story to tell.  Jeannie is also a star, and I wish I knew their sons.  He is a credit to Montclair High School, the Boy Scouts of America and great philanthropy.  I smile when I remember him.  Suzanne Love Harris
