For Immediate Release:
Premier Valley Central Reunion for All Alumni
Valley Central Alumni seek to establish association with event inviting all class graduates, attendees, and district staff to Thomas Bull Memorial Park on July 30th, 2011.
Montgomery, NY, April, 17, 2011: Join us for the premier Valley Central All Alumni Reunion at Thomas Bull Memorial Park on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 beginning at noon. This is a paid event to establish a Valley Central Alumni Association as a not for profit organization to facilitate communication and events of all graduates, staff and attendees of the Valley Central School District in Montgomery, NY.
Catering for the day is hosted by Barbecue Specialists of the Hudson Valley, our VC community members John & Joan Rywalt- parents of Jamie Rywalt (2006) and Joseph Rywalt (2008). They start with all of the freshest ingredients as all meats, produce and seafood are bought fresh locally! Dishes are prepared while we relax! Over twenty two years of success are built on the promise of fresh and delicious BBQ. The menu includes Hamburgers, Sabrett's Hot dogs, all condiments including: ketchup, mustard, pickles, onions, cheese, relish, sauerkraut, onion sauce and buns. Scrumptious homemade salads, signature slow roasted chicken and a secret pulled pork recipe round out the day along with home-style baked beans and Corn-on-the-cob. Picnic jugs of iced tea & lemonade will be served. For more information visit them at www.hvbbq.com.
For those with a taste for adult beverages, Ward’s Bridge Inn will host a cash bar at the event. The Pskowski family, including Brian Pskowski (1994) as head chef has worked to restore the ambiance and tradition to a grand old establishment in the heart of the Village of Montgomery. Named for the span that welcomes visitors to Montgomery, this historic site offers all the charm and comfort of a classic country inn. Proudly serving lunch and dinner since early 2005, Ward’s Bridge Inn features the best steaks, poultry, fresh seafood, and local produce. For more information visit them at www.wardsbridgeinn.com or on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wards-Bridge-Inn/265759718206?sk=info.
Core entertainment production is headed up by none other than Luftnell Productions of General Montgomery Day and Star Spangled Spectacular fame. Steve O'Connell (1984) will handle Stage Management & Production teams. Margo Luft O'Connell (1977) will develop Music Production for the day as well as bookings.
PLEASE NOTE: Any alumni musicians and/or bands that are interested in performing, please contact Luftnell Productions at (914) 213-1422 or (914) 213-1424 to coordinate timing throughout the day. As bios and booking become available, we will announce and advertise the acts as well as publish a schedule.
Sports and Recreation for the day is shaping up under the guidance of the current VC Athletic Director, Mike Bellerosa (1978) with topics under consideration of a morning golf tournament, and West Point targeted sky diving. Visual artists interested in showcasing wares along decade displays of memorabilia spanning 50 years of district centralization are also sought to provide interest to Alumni of all ages.
Registration for the day at the park is $29 and now open and available for payment by credit card online at www.valleycentralalumniassociation.com, www.valleycentralalumniassociation.org as well as www.valleycentralclassof81.com. Click on the “1st ALL Alumni Bash” to register. You must have a profile established and active on the site. If you cannot find your name or it is in the wrong class year, please send a message through the “contact us” links found on the site. We have a tentative deadline set for May 20th for initial counts and deposit monies. The more paid registrations, the bigger the entertainment and goodies! If you know you cannot attend this premier event, please consider a donation or membership to continue to establish future events! We hope to see you all there!
