Kathy found out she had lung cancer in November. She flu to her sons home in Georgia on December 19th for chemo treatments and had a major stroke on December 21st. She passed away on January 1, 2014.
Kathy had a wonderful sense of humor and participated in many of our class functions.
It isn't easy to hear of friends no longer with us. Kathy, Charlotte, Bill and I became friends at Thom Run School in the 4th grade and stayed close till graduation. Whether we spent time at the Spaghetti House in Coraopolis, went to rock & roll shows at the Syria Mosque or just getting through school with Mrs. Probst, Mrs. Sloane, or Mr. Constanzo, Kathy was always the nicest, gentlest soul. I was so glad to see her at our reunion a few years ago. She and I had breakfast together the next morning and talked about all the little crazy things we remembered growing up. I think of her often and will continue to do so. My condolences go ou to her family. I am so sorry for their loss.
I am so saddened to hear of Kathy's passing. My heartfelt prayers go out to her family. Kathy was so much fun in school, and always had a smile for everyone. May God grant you the peace and comfort you need at this time.
