Still think of Luke often. I remember how awesome it was in Sulpher after he passed and we dedicated that performance to him. Right when we hit the field, the clouds just moved and the sun came out so brightly. He was right there with us. I will never forget him
I always thought that feather stuck out Way too far. lol That was a week long "discussion" between he and I. Naturally, he won.
What can I say about Luke.... hmmm... more than most I imagine. He was an over protective big brother to say the least. He instantly disliked any fella' that started calling me even though they were the best of friends prior.
Oh, got one! Walking down the hall in front the lunch room; he and Shane Sharkey were leaning against the lockers and he reach out and slugged my arm as I passed him. I said "Ou". shane smacked his shoulder and said, "I thought you didn't hit girls". Luke replied, "That's not a girl, that's just my sister."
I'm sure I can remember other things more "band oriented" later. Other than "Macho macho Luke" being sung spontainiously when he'd walk by. LOL I always took up for him but I really did think it was quite funny.
Okay, Don't think I'll keep this up long so bare with me.
Um, um.. here goes.
Bubba, you promised you would never leave me! You promised you'd take care of me and no one would hurt me!! You LIED!! You should have never made promises no one can keep!!.... I forgive you. okay and I love you too..... And you still owe me for all those IOU's I found after you were gone.... you were the one with a job.... forgiven....
Just cause you're the golden boy and get all this extra time with our parents before I join you, don't think your stickin me carrying the box of wieghts when I do get there. No way mister. Don't forget I'm their baby and "I" gave mom grandkids. Ha!! You carry the box and "I'M" carrying the paddle..... And I do promise not to shake the boat when you bend over the side... I'm sorry. I only did it once. - Okay, it only worked once.
Sorry.... oh yea, bout that rash that kept you home for a weekend. Um, I 'spose you know now....finely powdered salt. If you'd have soaked in the tub a few hours & boxers, you'd have been fine. And um... gotcha,... it was my pen.
One question... duh, I know you can't exactly answer, but why is it I always trip over nothing at "your" grave while cleaning them? Huh? It was only funny the first 10 times.
Okay... I think I'm done. . . . Wait, one more, Thanks for pretending to study when I was scared to be alone. (you can't read a book placed on you head and upside down) It was sweet... And I was never your responsibility. Teenagers shouldn't raise other teenagers. Oh!! SO COOL!! That means you are so not the boss over me. LOL. Ha!! See what happens when we talk things out.
