Jeff Wampler

MACKINAW - Jeffrey M. Wampler, age 38, of Fenton, Mo., formerly of Mackinaw, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at the St. Anthony's deGreeff Hospice House in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Feb. 4, 1971, in East Cleveland, Ohio, to Michael and Pamela Wampler (nee Baldock).

He is survived by his wife, Deborah R. Wampler (nee Rumpf) of Fenton, Mo.; one daughter, Abigail, and two sons, Owen and Derek Wampler, all of Fenton, Mo., his parents, Michael and Pamela Wampler of Mackinaw, Ill.; and one brother, Ryan (Kelley) Wampler. Also surviving are his in-laws, Theodore and Patricia Rumpf, and their children, Timothy (Tracy) and Theodore (Katie) Rumpf; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Jeffrey was a graduate of Morton High School and the University of Illinois.

He was a project manager and general contractor for the Tarlton Corp.

He loved to be with his family and friends.

Jeffrey enjoyed his work at the Tarlton Corp., playing soccer and watching sports.

Visitation will be held at the Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63129, from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. Then taken to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9907 Sappington Road, St. Louis, MO 63128, on Monday, Sept. 28, for visitation from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Wampler Children Trust or to the St. Louis Zoo.
