What fun the 40th reunion was. Hell, why did I wait 40 years to connect?  It was terrific. Thank you one and all of you on the committee. You should be proud. You did a wonderful job. Congrulations.

Good time had by all. Shuda certainly did not disappoint! Sorry so many couldn't make it. Was looking forward to seeing so many. Was happy to speak with those that did come.Too many years to catch up on in one night. Almost didn't recognize Joe Kovack. It was good to see him.. ( Oh the parties, and the hangovers). Good food, good company, good memories.....  Can't wait to do it again

Greetings to all of the class members of MCAHS Class lof '74

i was chatting with Joan Kelly Michaels and she suggested that we try to get a group of Alum to visit my city NYC during the Holiday season.  I can give a tour of the wonderful holiday decorations and the lovely department store windows and of course a large Xmas tree in Rock Center or Lincoln Center. Then plan a nice dinner

at Peter Lugars Steak House to finish off the day. I need to see if there is an interest in anyone joining in. It is open to all. The more the merrier.

Let me know

Dear Classmates,

I was watching TV in Longboat Key, Florida today and saw a Carl Shoffstall on the news.  I hunted him down and yes it was our Carl.  He is doing well and lives in Sarasota.  He should be joining our site soon.

Kevin

Great news. Why was he on the news???

Yea, you only gave us half the story.  Was he out there saving someone's life or catching a world record sized alligator or was he there on and episode of Family Fued or Jeoparday?

Dear Classmates,

In response to questions on Carl.  He is a community leader here.  He was on TV voicing his opposition to a project associated with the beach sand at Lido Key. (Part of Sarasota)  Carl runs a company that builds playgrounds all over the state of Florida. There may be other things it does but he can explain his whole business. We talked mainly about old times and about classmates. We plan to hook up for a drink in the future.

Kevin

Fellow Class of 74ers.....

It was a blast to see so many of you at the 50th reunion back in June. We've all contributed in meaningful ways to a better world, both in the MCA area and throughout the States. It was so gratifying to see everyone looking so well and happy to be together again sharing fond memories.

Speaking of memories, the sports highlight of our senior year had to be our football team win another Eastern Conference championship. I just came across a video of the 2nd half of the championship game against Dunmore, Dec 1st, 1973. I had forgotten how close the game was until the 4th quarter, and that we were actually losing 6-0 before the team rallied for 15 unanswered points.

Watching this game brought back so many happy memories of growing up in Mt. Carmel. I'm sure we all gathered at Junior's afterwards (and probably many cold bush parties) to toast our champions.

If you have about a half hour to spare, watch this video and re-live for a moment what it was like to be in Mt. Carmel during the roaring '60's and '70's.

I invite all of you to share a special memory  you have of growing up in Mt. Carmel but in the meantime, I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity of going to school with all of you and seeing you all do so well in life.

best,

phil koz

Phil,

Thank you for putting the Championship game on here.  It still gives me the chills watching it.  What a great team and classmates we had.  It just seems like yesterday.....where has the time gone?

Hoping to make it to the next reunion.

Fondly,

Nonie
