Ruth (Goodchild) Paige, 77, of Agawam, MA, died peacefully at Kindred Country Estates on December 27th, 2016, in the company of one of her sons. Ruth was born in Holyoke, MA to Irwin and Gertrude (Roberts) Goodchild of Holyoke. Growing up, Ruth spent her summers on Lake Winnipesaukee at the family camp. She graduated from Northfield School for Girls in East Northfield MA, and Smith College in Northampton, MA. 
Ruth was a full-time mother, raising five children. She shared her joy for skiing with her children, and she let it be known that she was the first person to break a leg skiing at Killington. Ruth loved sailing and spent a season touring the Bahamas in a 37 foot Tayana sailboat named Magic Dragon. Ruth had worked at the Newport Public Library in Newport Rhode Island and was a member of the Newport Historical Society. 
Ruth is survived by her brother Irwin L. Goodchild; five children, Kimberly Blakeborough (Robert Blakeborough), Gregory Paige (Dawn Jablonski), Christopher Paige, Jr. (Michele Paige), Jonathan Paige (Lisa Paige), and Corridan Paige (Michele Paige) and their father Christopher Paige, Sr.; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kristen Paige, her brother, Robert E. Goodchild, and her daughter-in-law Robin Paige. A memorial reception will be held for family. Contributions in Ruth’s name may be made to any Hospice.
