What am I?: English major/oncology nurse/wife/mother/gardener
A good life, by accident and luck. Husband and family way more rewarding than ever imagined. Nursing career in oncology a high point. Northfield philosophy of giving back to the community followed me, sometimes vexingly, all of my life.
After retirement, volunteered for our local Hospice for 5 years, until diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, stage 4, in 2004.Fighting it, loving life and appreciating moments great and small. Brooke, Owen, Ethan and Lila, my grandchildren, are a wonderful legacy to leave, as are my three exceptional daughters. Carpe Diem!
