Johnston, Nan July 23, 1939 - July 20, 2010 Nan Johnston was born in Wisconsin Rapids, WI on July 23, 1939. The only child of Scott and Fritzi (Klawans) Pauley, she grew up in Petersham, MA. As a young teen her family relocated to Mahtomedi, MN where she graduated from Mahtomedi HS. Nan attended the U of MN where she met her future husband: Roger Johnston. They were married on March 3, 1962. Nan is survived by daughters: Caitlin (Mimi), Sabrina (Harold), and son Adam (Lori); and four grandchildren: Dylan, Loren, Autumn and Arianna. Known for her wicked sense of humor, Nan was outspoken and friendly. Her interests and hobbies included antiques, interior decorating, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, cats, and reading. On July 20th, 2010, after a long struggle with cancer, Nan passed away peacefully. Nan always took pride in her uniqueness. That spirit lives on in the family and friends who loved her.
