Obituary

Herbert Aaron Henschel, known to his friends and family as “Aaron”, of Englewood, NJ , passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Aaron was born in Norwich and raised in New Haven CT. A graduate of Rutgers University, Aaron went on to lead Henschel-Steinau INC. for 50 years, building his company into one of the most dominant forces in Point of Purchase Advertising. He was a mentor to dozens of men and women not only in his own organization, but across the industry.

Aaron was a giant of a man who lived an astonishingly active life and was generous beyond imagination. He had many passions including golf, fishing, and photography, but will be remembered most for his love of flying. His most happy moments were in the air with his brothers in aviation.

Aaron will be remembered as a strong, incredible man whose love for his family knew no bounds. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Dorothy , his children Laura and Ron Itin, Liz Henschel and Paul Liva, his cherished grandchildren Jordan, Phoebe and Hayden Yurica and his loving sister Ellen Singer.

Funeral service will take place on Sunday, May 7th at 11:30 a.m. at Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel, W-150 Route 4 East, Paramus, New Jersey.

Burial will take place following the funeral at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey.

The family will be accepting visitors at the home of Laura and Ron Itin following the funeral service.

Sunday, May 7th following the funeral/cemetery from 2-7pm.

The family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society.
