William "Bill" F. Moebus, 75, of Holland Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at his home. Born December 13, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, NY, Bill graduated from Mt. Herman Prep School in Massachusetts and attended Cornell University. He served two years in the US Army. Bill worked as a manager for AT&T for 8 years in Bridgewater, NJ, prior to that he worked as an account executive for the New York Telephone Company in NYC. After his retirement, Bill worked as a realtor for Proctor Associates. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, golf and playing bridge. Bill was a long time member of the Holland Township School Board and the Hunterdon County Education Services Commission, where he served as president and vice president on the Board of Directors. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Son of the late Edward and Constance (Forth) Moebus, Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years Sarah F. (Forson) Moebus, his son Douglas E. Moebus and his wife Carrie of Ft. Worth, TX, his two daughters Sydney "Sam" Bantel and her husband Brian of Saylorsburg, PA and Susan L. Moebus of Portland, OR, his three sisters Nancy Heuston, Mary Yedlin, and Ann Snobeck, his six grandchildren Zachary, Alexy, Kevin, Andrew, Krystal and Lauren, and his great-grandson Aiden. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11AM at the Johnson-Walton Funeral Home, 24 Church Road, Holland Township, NJ. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 10-11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
