Gail Clark (Foote)

FOOTE. Gail (Clark) Foote, 57, of Bayberry Circle, Kensington died Sunday (Sept. 22, 1996) at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hartford, she grew up in Farmington, lived in Glastonbury for 20 years, before moving to Kensington seven years ago. She graduated from the Northfield School, Northfield, MA in 1957, and from Simmons College, Boston in 1961. She was co- founder and general partner of Joint Jack Co., East Hartford, and was a director of Dwight Foote, Inc. in Berlin. Mrs. Foote was a deacon of the Rockwood Community Church, Rockwood, ME and attended the Kensington Congregational Church. Long active in needlework arts, she taught and was a member of the Embroiderers Guild. Surviving is her husband of 34 years, Dwight W. Foote, Jr.; three daughters and two sons- in-law Deborah and Hunter Clark of Gaithersburg, MD, Jennifer and David Burr of East Hartford, and Elizabeth Foote of Wethersfield. She also leaves her mother Dorothy. P. Clark of Avery Heights Home, Hartford; her brother and his wife, E. Terry and Julie Clark of Washington, CT.; four grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Burr and Hank and Dwight Clark; six nephews Adam, Ryan, Joel and Skyler Clark, Daniel and Christopher Foote. She was predeceased by her father Erwin T. Clark. A memorial service will be held Saturday (Sept. 28), 11 a.m. at the Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Ave., Kensington. Burial will be in West Lane Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockwood Community Church, Rockwood, ME 04478 or to the Kensington Congregational Church. The Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain, has charge of arrangements.
