I was in school with Dion from Pinewood Elementary all the way up. In 4th grade my mom came to the school and Dion couldn't say enough about how pretty she was. Fourth grade boys tend to notice these things. :) We didn't really have any classes in high school but anytime he passed me in the hallway he smiled and said "Hey Mandy Shoup". I liked Dion.
I second that Mandy. He died just before the 5th reunion. I was there with Dion from 1st grade on. Always always liked Dion. I am sure someone knows more of when this. He deserves to have something listed.
I also went to school with Dion all the way through school. He was always so nice to me. I remember him playing jokes and having fun. He will always be missed.
I went to school with Dion since kindergarten, he was always a cool dude, hardly ever said a cross word to me or anyone. I was hangin out with James Johnson when Dion was killed...I don't remember the exact date, but it was like 94 or something...we had a hell of a wake for him at James' house.
I was able to do some research on Dion since the date of his death was unknown. My parents use to do some work with the Medical Examiner of Mecklenburg County, so my mom made a couple of calls.
