Don was in a car accident a few years ago if you remember. He suffered head trauma which caused seizures. He had a seizure during a bath and accidentally drowned.

Wow do I ever miss my dear, sweet friend Don. He was the kind of friend who would go to the ends of the earth to protect you. He really cared if you were sad or sick or happy or whatever. We "shared" a locker through all of high school, worked at Jack's together, and spent many nights sneaking around to find secluded places to smoke :) I have so many great memories of his sweet face and smile. I feel blessed to have known him - his friendship meant a lot to me!Aaron David Holst
It seems almost shameful that there aren't more comments here about / for Don. Although I did not know him as well as many others did, Don was a true friend of mine. I'm not choosing to post here simply because he is gone and it is customary (cliche) to roll on and on after a person has passed about how wonderful they were; rather, I'm doing so because Don actually did make an indelible impression in my mind... He was, sincerely, one of the sweetest people I've met. He was fair, even-tempered, always seemed to be "up" and wasn't one to utter a dispagraging word about anyone - not around me, anyway. I never saw him angry and it appeared that he didn't let things bother him much. He was just a good soul and spirit. The tragic wreck in '89 hit all of us pretty hard. We all knew all of them. Donny survived, but he came through it having lost more than just close friends. His head injury changed him in more ways than any of us will know.
