Kathy Gale Ford Manning, 55, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014. She was born April 29, 1959 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to David and Patti (Corbell) Ford. Kathy graduated from Muskogee High School in 1977. Kathy graduated from Virgil's Beauty College and later attended Connor's State College.
During her high school years, Kathy enjoyed dancing and was a Show-Stopper for Muskogee High School. She loved performing in the high school musicals. Kathy was an amazing coach, on and off the field, and was always at her children's sporting events. She loved to curl up in her PJs and watch Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel all year round. Kathy had such a big heart and loved life. She put others' needs first and enjoyed taking care of anyone and everyone. Kathy thought of everyone as family; there wasn't anyone she didn't claim as her own. Kathy cherished time with her family and friends more than anything. She adored her children and grandchildren; they were her whole world. She was truly loved to the moon and back.
She was preceded in death by Clyde (Papa) and Irene (Bambaw) Watts, Bill and Amanda Ford, and great grandma Lula Brown.
She is survived by her parents; her precious children, Heather Fite of Fort Gibson, Amber Fite-Morgan and her husband Jordan of Fort Gibson, Lacy Fite of Muskogee, Austin Mullens of Muskogee, and Katelyn Manning of Muskogee; her precious grandchildren, Camerin James, Baleigh James, and Laila Mullens, and special granddog Bruiser; grandfather, Alva Corbell; and her bonus family, Michelle Spears and her children, Maycee, Tyler and Emma; sisters, Debbi Macomb and husband Mike of Muskogee, Terri Simmons and husband Cruce of Muskogee; nieces, Crystal Fortney and Ashley Macomb; and nephews, Tyler Fortney, Jeremy Fortney, and Michael Macomb II; and three great nieces, and eight great nephews, other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
A memorial service celebrating Kathy's life will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 10, 2014 at Muskogee First Assembly at 3100 Gulick Street, with Dr. Steve Rose officiating. There will be a private family interment.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Fortney, Jeremy Fortney, Michael Macomb II, Corey Keifer, Tanner Mullens, Colby Mullens, and Hunter Mullens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Edward H. Fite III, Terry Mullens, Brock Manning, Mike Macomb, Cruce Simmons, Drew Horn, and Dan Brooks.
