School Story:
MHS was largely a good experience, though we were all (of course) so embryonic - thank God for great teachers who helped mold & shape us (some of my faves:"Mama" Joan Murray, Nancy Poteete, "Skip" Klingman,Ray
Wise,Barbara Staggs,Janice Lowrance,Mrs.Lunn,so tough but fair)! I have perhaps my fondest memories of all the theatre & music stuff: the competetive drama/forensics trips, the plays & musicals; the fun (and the squabbling) w. my old duet partners, Cathy McGill & Dee Paxton; the camaraderie w. our fellow students across the river in Ft. Gibson (shout out to Melanie Naff, still in the industry in L.A. - she's been in several Danny Devito pics, soaps, & radio shows - and hit the jackpot w. hubby Scott & son Charlie!);my wonderful grandparents/greatgrandparents who were alive then (one is still kicking up the dust - she was a 'belle of the ball' on the Senior Dance Circuit!)& loved attending all our school stuff; the Youth for Understanding/American Field Service exchange student parties and dances...far too many to list (I've done a fairly daunting job so far, though, haven't I?!?)
