Cindy Groover (Robertson)

Cindy Groover Robertson, 40, a special angel and lifetime Muskogee resident, was taken by her Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 1, 2000 at her home. She was born November 17, 1959 to Paul and Linda Groover in Muskogee where she grew up and graduated with the Muskogee High School class of 1978. Cindy's life priorities were her Lord Jesus Christ, her home and family as well as her work. She was raised and baptized at Ash Street Missionary Baptist Church, being baptized in the Arkansas River on October 7, 1973 with her family. Cindy was a member of the Boulevard Christian Church family where she was very active. On September 16, 1990 Cindy and Dale Robertson were married in Harrison, AR in the Little Bell Chapel and have been proud to make Muskogee their home. She loved being a homemaker, especially decorating her home inside and out.

Cindy was preceded in death by her daughter Autumn Rae Harrison, her father-in-law, Ramon Dale Robertson, and her nephew Bradley Joseph Robertson on December 20, 1994, and grandfather Roy Groover on January 9, 2000, as well as her maternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, William Dale, of the home; daughters, Sommer Dawn Robertson, of the home and Hailee P. Kissire of Broken Arrow; stepsons Joshua Dale Robertson and Jed William Robertson, both of the home; parents Paul and Linda Groover, of Muskogee; grandmother Nannie M. Groover, of Haskell; brother Michael Groover and his wife, Sue, of Ft. Gibson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Cindy enjoyed working, having many different opportunities before settling into a career as a Mary Kay Consultant, where she was able to open her life by making numerous new friends. The family has designated the memorial contributions be made in care of Boulevard Christian Church, 820 E. Okmulgee, Muskogee, OK 74403. They will then be directed to the Cindy L. Robertson Youth Memorial Fund.

Services will be today at 3:00 at Boulevard Christian Church with Mr. James McCracken and Mr. Steve Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Loren Ferren, John McMakin, John Paul Jones, Ernie Franklin, Mack Whitaker, Mark Liebig, Gary Miller and John Standridge. Honorary pallbearers are the Boulevard Christian Church elders, uncles, nephews, her brother Michael Groover and her brothers-in-law Dean Robertson and Dave Robertson.
