It is wth much sadness that I submit the following Obituary for Pete Duke!

Mr. Ollie David Duke was born July 9, 1940 in Marion, Louisiana to Orville and Mable Scarborough Duke and passed away May 19, 2018 in Carthage, Texas. He was the younger on two children and was raised and schooled in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Ollie graduated from Natchitoches High School and later attended Northwestern State University. He married Vida McFadden in October 1967 and together they celebrated 50 years. Mr. Duke worked in the construction industry and loved to watch sports on TV. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Duke is survived by his loving wife, Vida Duke of Carthage; daughter, Rachel Nail of Carthage; granddaughter, Taylor Hunter of Carthage; sister, Peggy Williams and husband Peyton of Natchitoches, LA; other relatives and a host of friends.
No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hawthorn Funeral Home.
