Ana Oliveira

NEW BEDFORD — Ana M. Oliveira, 42, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital following a lengthy period of declining health. She was born in Ribeira Quente, Sao Miguel, Acores, the daughter of Antonio P. and Idalina (Vieira) Oliveira. Ana came to United States in October 1972.

She was employed by St. Luke's Hospital as a Health Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Room for 10½ years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Ana loved animals, donating regularly to the Animal Advocacy. She enjoyed country line dancing, her collection of movies, music from the 80's her collection of pig figurines, as well as being an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. But her greatest moments were those spent with her family and friends as well as her cat Jax and her dog Doby.

Survivors include her Parents: Antonio P. and Idalina (Vieira) Oliveira of New Bedford; 3 Brothers: Tony Oliveira and his companion Linda Perry; John Oliveira and his wife Tina and Jeffrey Oliveira all of New Bedford; 1 Sister: Grace C. Sabino and her husband John of North Dartmouth; Nieces and Nephews: Alyssa Oliveira, Kristle Oliveira, Devon Sabino, Nikolas Oliveira and Ethan Sabino.
