Kevin J. Rivet

NOVEMBER 11, 1970 – JULY 9, 2021

Kevin J. Rivet, 50, of Acushnet, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 9, 2021 at home.

Born in New Bedford, son of Maureen E. (McCarthy) Rivet of Acushnet and the late Raymond L. Rivet, he lived most of his life in Acushnet.

He was educated in the Acushnet School system, graduated from New Bedford High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Kevin was a caretaker for his mother and helped with her ceramic studio.

His life centered around his son, Cole. Baseball was his own passion and one that he avidly shared with his son. This included coaching little league and taking part in AAU road trips. The two of them also enjoyed attending WWE events.

Surviving in addition to his mother and son are two brothers, Robert P. Rivet and wife Evelyn of New Bedford and Stephen M. Rivet of Johnston, RI; his niece, Meaghan (Rivet) Tully and her sons, Isaac and Gabriel; and his nephew, Timothy Rivet.
