Bill sang in acapella choir. He was in the bass section. I'm sure that he truly enjoyed being in Mr. Walla's singing group. Wherever you are, Bill, I hope that you are singing a tune.
Bill and I were the only two boys who could dig out the low bass notes in A Cappella Choir. It was always fun hanging out with him on the many trips we took with the choir. He always had that slightly crazy edge to him that I loved!
He went on to become an accomplished musician who played with lots of notable contemporaries. We both moved to Lake Tahoe in the early 70's after he married Roxanne Rash (anybody heard from the Rash twins?) and stayed in touch up until his tragic death.
I am truly sorry to hear that your life ended so early. Dang it anyways! You and Frank used to sit right behind me in choir - and the sound of you two digging out the low bass line was truly wonderful. I fondly remember one long bus ride to Sacramento with the acapella choir where you and I held hands. Eternal bliss my gem of a friend!
