Newbury High School
Class Of 1984

Welcome to the Newbury High Class Of 1984 web site.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Joy (Pride) Leagan

It is with a heavy heart that we share the following tragic news:  our former classmate, Joy (Pride) Leagan, passed away earlier this week.  Since there is no obituary available, there is no detail to share.  However, there will be a memorial service tomorrow (Saturday, August 1st) at 5:00 at the Kiwanis Lake Community Center. We will also be adding Joy's name to our "In Memory" page and updating it with her photo shortly.  Please take a moment to add your comments and memories of Joy.

PATTY (FINNERTY) KLONOWSKI

Once again we regretfully share sorrowful news about one of our friends and former classmates, Patty (Finnerty) Klonowski. Sadly, Patty passed away on August 30th following complications from foot surgery. As you know from reading her class profile, Patty was a devoted mom with two children. Her son Adam just recently graduated from Euclid High School and her daughter Samantha is there as a senior this year.

Patty was extremely proud of her kids and happy to share the details of their activities and how much she loved being involved with them at the school and at home. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Please take a moment to visit her “In Memory” page on our class site and leave your thoughts and memories of Patty.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, September 3 from 6 to 9:00 p.m. at the Sam Ritondaro Funeral Home in Chardon. Her funeral Mass will be on Friday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church in Newbury followed by burial at Munn Road Cemetery.  Immediately afterwards, everyone is invited back to St. Helen for a luncheon.  If anyone attending is able to bring baked goods to share, it would be greatly appreciated by the family.
