As one of the few students who was not from the the South side of Newton-- I was one of the lucky and truly fortunate ones to have have met, known and had a special relationship with Marthe during those 3 short years.
When I found out about Marthe--- I was stunned.
She was joyful and full of life-- it is with great personal sadness that she will not laugh or be with us -- Whether it be the reunion or any other event.
But, I can say this----- with great confidence---Marthe would never miss a great party!
We can-- and should -- celebrate the joy and greatness that she brought to those of us who were lucky enough to have been touched by her.

I went to elementary school with Martha. She always had a great laugh to go along with that red hair.
