Marsha Elaine (Neufeld) Kahler passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 at her home in Springfield, MO with family at her side. She was born in Hutchinson, KS on August 10, 1962, the daughter of Richard L. and Barbara E. (Sidener) Neufeld. After her graduation from Nickerson high School in 1980, Marsha married Jeff (Jeffrey) Scott Kahler on August 1, 1981 in Hutchinson, KS. Always together and adventurous, they lived in Kansas, Indiana, Georgia, Alabama, California and Missouri.

Marsha was a compassionate woman who gave all of herself to others. Daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend, she was loved by everyone she had contact with and had an amazing ability to have people from different backgrounds join together and find empathy for others. Marsha enjoyed sewing, reading novels, was a wizard at puzzles, excelled at problem solving, loved her children, the water and sun and spent as much time as possible enjoying all of her passions.

Marsha was preceded in death by her father, Richard (Golden, MO). Surviving her is her mother Barbara (Golden, MO), brother Robert and his wife Cindy (Aurora, MO), son Brandon and wife Janine (Corona, CA), son Tyler and wife Shawna (Bakersfield, CA) and her husband of 35 years.

A celebration of her life will be held on January 6, 2017, 2:00 PM CST, at the Aurora Babtist Temple, 1103 S Elliott, Aurora, MO, 65605, with Robert Neufeld officiating. Visitation will follow the celebration as there will not be a graveside service. Marsha donated her corneas so that two others may have sight and donated her body to further cancer research.
