NORFOLK — Services for Tammy Weigel, 53, of Norfolk will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church with burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Ray Wilke will officiate.

Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Home for Funerals.

Mrs. Weigel died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Faith Regional Health Services.

Tammy was born on Oct. 11, 1959, in Norfolk, the daughter of Marvin and Peggy (Anderson) Kraft. She was raised in Norfolk and attended the Norfolk Public Schools. She graduated in 1975.

On Sept. 9, 1978, Tammy married Michael Weigel at Grace Lutheran Church. They made their home in Norfolk.

She had been employed at McCory’s and Leona’s Cafe prior to her career at Christ Lutheran School. She was involved with the Day Care Center and Pre School. Tammy also worked in the school’s library and cafeteria. She had a passion in helping the little children to read. Tammy enjoyed teaching them to play football and baseball, as she was their “all-time” quarterback and pitcher due to her illness.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Michael; their son and his wife, Casey and Michelle Weigel of Randolph; one granddaughter, Kayley Jasmine Weigel; siblings and their spouses, Linda and Gene Beltz of Pierce, John Kraft of Norfolk, Lori and Michael Detchman of Tilden, Carol Schrader of Norfolk, Deb and Tim Brunswick of Norfolk and Lisa and Marcus Smith of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
