Darrell was my first "real" boyfriend from 1966-1968 (maybe 1969) He moved to NYC to pursue a career in dancing. He was a very talented, funny, and sweet person who came to NHS in 1965 or 1966. When he lived in Miami, OK he was best friends with Steve and Cassie Gaines who later became members of Lynyrd Skynyrd. They both died in the plane crash.

I was lucky to see Darrell dance in NYC and in DC in the early 70s. He was amazing.
