Danna Gayle Cole

Danna Gayle Cole

Danna Gayle Cole was born July 22nd, 1956 in Graham, Texas to Dolan and Nelda Jean Cole. She went to be with our Lord on July 26th, 2016.

Danna graduated from Norman High School in 1974. Her best friends, Mona and Paula, from those days remained her best friends throughout her life. She attended Moore-Norman Technology Center and was hired by Xerox before she even graduated.

Danna worked for Xerox as a field service representative for 23 years before taking early retirement. The excellence of her work and outgoing personality earned her the honor of being chosen to attend the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia where she got to spend a lot of her time in the gymnastics building, her favorite Olympic sport.

Danna did not have children of her own and her many nephews and nieces from two generations became her surrogate children. The thing she loved most in life was hanging out with the kids of her family. She was the aunt anyone would want, whether it was pitching tents in the living room or being introduced to old black and white movies.

Danna remains a most beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Danna is survived by her father, Dolan Cole, sister Debi Perkins and husband Talford, brother David Cole and wife Gina, Sister Dianna Schoech and husband Jon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece.

Visitation will be Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 1-8 at Tribute Memorial Care (708 24th Ave NW). Services are 2:00 Monday, 8/1/16, at Bethel Baptist Church. Interment to follow at IOOF. www.tribute.care.
