Leona Kay Daily (Hancock)

Leona Hancock, age 61, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.
 
She was born July 7, 1956 in Lubbock, Texas the daughter of Leon and Myrtle Daily. On April 8, 2006 she was united in marriage to Robert Hancock, who survives. Also surviving are her mother, Myrtle Daily; two children, Nicholas Harper and his wife Danica of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bethany Hoyt of Edmond, Oklahoma; two step-children, Robert Hancock and his wife Victoria of Republic, Missouri and DeAnna Sykes and her husband, Michael of Nixa, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Charlotte Hancock of Eagle Rock, Missouri; two brothers; three sisters and six grandchildren.
 
Preceding her in death were her father, Leon Daily and one sister, Katherine Daily.
 
Leona graduated from high school and then received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. She had resided in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for a while. Three years ago Leona and Robert were lucky enough to purchase their dream land west of Washburn. She had been employed at Wal-Mart in Bentonville, Arkansas in the technical department.
 
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.

another gone too soon. RIP Leona. we shared a lot of memories when we were younger.
