Kevin Kammerlocher of Claremore, OK passed away on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022. He was born on May 9th, 1956 in Norman, Oklahoma to George and Helen (Bumgarner) Kammerlocher who precede him in death. His brothers Max Kammerlocher and Mark Kammerlocher also precede him in death. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lori Kammerlocher; son Kevin Bradford Kammerlocher; daughters April Taylor and her husband Kyle Taylor, Devin Kammerlocher and Regal Kammerlocher; beloved grandchildren, Carsyn Taylor, Anna Kammerlocher, Tori Kammerlocher, Camdyn Taylor, and Georgiana Kammerlocher; sisters Kim Kammerlocher Smith and Lisa Kammerlocher; and brother Joseph Kammerlocher and his wife Vickie Kammerlocher.

Kevin loved football! He was an outstanding football player at Norman High School where he was an All State guard for the Tigers his senior year in 1974. His football career continued at East Central University in Ada where he was an All Conference linebacker in 1977. At East Central, he also served as the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was a dedicated OU football fan his whole life and recently attended the OU-Kansas game shortly before suffering a heart attack.

At East Central University, Kevin earned a degree in Accounting and was honored as the top Accounting student among all accounting in the state of Oklahoma graduating in 1978. He started his career at Peat Marwick and Mitchell then moved on to other positions before suffering a career ending heart attack.

Kevin loved being a doting grandfather to all five of his granddaughters. He made every effort to be a part of their lives and support them in what they loved to do. He was "Otta" to his special needs granddaughter, sharing a unique and powerful relationship that warmed all of our hearts. Regardless of your family connection to Kevin, he made you feel important by giving boundless love to each of us.

Kevin was charming, charismatic, witty and wise. He sprinkled his truth telling with humor and he could bring fun and a lightness to any situation. He shared these characteristics as a tutor or life advisor for family, friends and even students in the Upward Bound Program at Roger's State University. When tutoring, Kevin was known for his patience and the gift of being able to describe complex ideas in relatable terms.

The family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.
