Deborah J. Taylor (McCathern)

Deborah Jane McCathern, age 55, died Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home in Mustang. She was born June 7, 1956 in Norman, OK to Earl and Beaulah (Isom) Taylor. She grew up in Norman and attended Norman schools. She moved to Mustang in 1986 from Blanchard. Debbie was an accomplished artist and loved painting and sculpturing. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband David of the home, one son Justin Eugene Fretz of Okla. City, one step son Steven Neil McCathern of Tecumseh, OK and five grandchildren Taylor, Zachery, Brayden, Justin, Jr. and Stevie. A memorial service will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.

We lived across the street from each other sine we moved here from IL. We were best friends all our lives. She will be missed.

Your mom made the best lemon pies in the world and loved me from day 1! ...That is the only reason I liked you even though you slapped me for kissing you on the cheek in 4th grade.  Then you got mad at me and slapped me for not kissing you back in 5th grade when we walked to Sandy,s to get a soda..

I would walk you home, carrying your books everyday,  even when you would put green highlite in your hair!  1967 -70

I'll bet you remember that swim we had in the summer of 1971 and later that year xmas eve in Berry Rd Baptist Church.

I will miss you the rest of my life and hope to cross paths in another...Love always .  David Wilson
