Brad Lee McIlvain

NORMAN — Brad Lee McIlvain, 55, of Glendale, Ariz., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012. 

Services were Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Church of the Beatitudes in Phoenix, with Rev. Dr. Nancy Nelson Elsenheimer officiating.

Mr. McIlvain was born June 20, 1956, in Newton, Kan. to Bill and Clarice (Wells) McIlvain. He lived in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Alaska, Colorado and Arizona, but lived in Norman for many years. He attended Norman Public Schools and worked at the University of Oklahoma. He also worked at Madison and Jackson elementary schools. He lived for the last five years in Glendale, Arizona. 

Mr. McIlvain was a huge fan of the OU Sooners. He also loved books, music (especially that of the Grateful Dead), 4-wheeling in his Jeep, fly-fishing, skiing, sailing, photography, computer games and grilling.

Mr. McIlvain was preceded in death by his father Bill McIlvain and brother Kelly McIlvain.

Mr. McIlvain is survived by his mother, sister Ann and many other family members.
