Christol, Larry Dale, 53, of St. Petersburg died Tuesday, Nov. 8 in Bayfront Hospital after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. Formal services will be held in Norman, Oklahoma. An informal gathering for his friends in the St. Petersburg area will occur at The Hanger Restaurant from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, 11/10/11. He was born Dec. 18, 1957, to James and Leona Christol. He was a loving son, husband and father. Larry worked for 20 years at Coors Tech in Oklahoma before relocating to Florida. He then worked at Raytheon for 10 years. He was a certified pilot, earning his instructor's license, and flew for over 25 years. Mr. Christol is survived by his wife of 27 years, Paula, his daughter Alison of Orlando, Fl., and his son Kyle of St. Petersburg, Fl. Also survived by his parents, James and Leona Christol, his brother, Gary and his wife Jan, of Seattle, WA, and his sister Pam of Coweta, OK.
