Birds of a Feather ... Flocked Together

on June 2nd, 2016

According to several local ornithologists, a rare sighting of bald (or slightly greying) headed eagles were spotting at Chaps last Thursday night sipping some of the local nectors and flapping their wings.  Apparently they were  toasting the start of Summer along with any of their beloved classmates who couldn't make it.  These are rare sightings these days and you don't want to miss them.

If you couldn't make it, you missed a good time

See you next June

Thanks to our 1969 birds of a feather who joined us at Chaps last night to celebrate the win of the ‘other’ eagles. The pumpkin ales were out. It was so much fun catching up. Mark Lare (my childhood friend whom I haven’t see in 47 years) is quite busy in retirement substitute teaching and enjoying pop pop hood. Marilyn Deloplaine, who hasn't been home all summer, flew in (actually drove) all the way from Florida, after seeing the USA (the northwest anyway) and check off a few new states and visit old friends and family.  Darlene Anderson just got back from a really exciting trip to Cuba, Karen Lawless is loving city life in her new home/job in downtown Phila (all the way from Michigan) and has a cool gig teaching radiology at Penn.  Bill Delaney (who must have stepped out the picture) is enjoying his retirement came to join us also, even though my announcements are going to his spam mail or trash? Bill you probably won’t get this email lol and Valerie (my better half for sure) joined us after her yoga class in Arcola.  Me, I’m just a social media amateur bird keeping busy helping with computer woes (who doesn’t have them?)  And our beloved E-A-G-L-E-S did not disappoint us last night as we saw yelling, screaming, celebrating, drinking and merriment, even a chair or two was thrown, worse than Lincoln Financial Field, defeating da Bears.  If you missed us, you’ll have to wait until we flock again. Who knows when (our birds have flown) but we are certain to flock before summer migration 2017 with a little par-tee.. if you know what I mean.  Stay tuned fellow birds. . .

The following people probably changed their email provider and need to update their profile on this site, or our email and announcements won't reach them.

If you see them, let them know that they are not getting our email and they need to log on and change to their NEW email address.
