On August 19, 2009, Richard “Wayne” Bowden was taken from us suddenly at the age of 57.

Richard was born September 26, 1951, to Richard B. Bowden and the late Etta Mae (Wright) Bowden.

He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannie Bowden.

Richard graduated in 1969 from North East High School, North East, MD. For 31 years Richard worked for Cytec in Havre De Grace, MD, where he made many lifelong friends.

He enjoyed a good game of golf and loved his dog, “Snoopy.”

He was the beloved step- father of Roy Harper and his wife, Rose, Patty Hare and Tina Darney and her husband, Fred; dear brother of Catherine Corron and her husband, Ronald, Linda Chestnut and her husband, Gerald, Paula Lofthouse and her husband, Earl, James Bowden and his wife, Kathryn, and Daniel Bowden and his wife, Bobbie.

Richard was the step- grandfather of Kristen Tourville, Natalie Bukovsky, Robert Lee Bukovsky, Leslie Holcomb and her husband, Josh, Ashley Harper, Christopher Hare, Brandon Anderson-Ballard, Steven, Jonathon and Ryan Darney; dear step-great-grandfather of Aeryainne Holcomb, Keiran Holcomb, Devon Brulinski, Regan, Gwedon and Desmond Monroe. He was the beloved Uncle “Wayne” to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held August 24, 2009 in Bel Air, MD.
