I remember Ann as being very active in drama in school.  She was quite a character.  I knew here more as a classmate.  In later years I remember Ann at the reunion that was held at the Hollyburn Country Club.  She was helping decorate the tables.  I was putting flowers around and she had brought some sparkles and sprinkled them on each table she said for good luck.  So like Ann.  I last saw Ann about a year ago at the Lab on Lonsdale and 19th.  She had emphysema quite badly then, but we reminisced about our school years and actually had our own little reunion right there in the waiting room.  I know it's difficult to live with a breathing difficulty (my Dad died of emphysema).  Rest in peace, Ann

Your friend,   Janet

Anne and her brother,Tony lived very close to dave and I so we saw a lot  of each other at Lynn Valley school and their house.  Anne's love of dancing and the arts shone brightly, especially in Miss Hunter's dance classes.   I still remember dancing with anne in their living room while the portable record player blasted out the current hits  Later on when we decided to enter a house play anne  saved our bacon many times as she helped direct our play.shirley Sreeter was also in the play and both kept me focussed.  I last saw Anne at our 50th reunion where we rehashed the events of many years ago. I  will always rememberr anne as a person who came over bigger than life, a person who followed her own drummer, and a person who cared.  she willbemissed but not forgotten.

I remember Anne in later years when I saw her around Lynn Valley. She was lucky that she did what she wanted to do -- entertain people and have fun. She will be missed by everyone who worked with her, and by those who enjoyed her performances. The last time I saw her she was carrying her harp, but sadly I never heard her play.

I knew Anne both when she was at Lynn Valley School and also in later years.  She came to visit us here in Victoria a few times.  At one of those visits she brought with her a series of amazing paintings she had done to illustrate a children's story she had written  about Ursula the Ostrich who road around the village on a skate board and had a wonderful pair of sissors that could cut all the elastic grass that tangled around people's feet.  She had tried to find a publisher for the story but was told that the paintings would be too expensive to reproduce.  The story itself was about overcoming the problems that plague all of us and seem so insurmountable - especially without magic sissors.  The image of elastic grass is really brilliant - and one that entangled Anne's life far too often.  She was an artist on many, many levels.

We saw quite a lot of Anne in the last few years. She used to arrive for a service at St. Agnes Anglican along with "Wolf" her very favourite friend.

One of my memories is hearing her voice on the audio tour of the Royal British Columbia Museum in Victoria.

Another memory was Anne's connection with "Winter Harp" when she worked with Lori Pappajohn on the incredible medieval costumes.

Again, at the class reunion at Hollyburn, a group had a lively discussion on their dancing classes with Miss Hunter. That might have been Shirley, Anne, Nina , Joan and who else?

(I nursed Miss Hunter's mother, Mrs. Northwood, for years on East 12th, an experience I shall never forget!)

As people say, Anne really was multi talented. She is missed.

I was so sorry to learn about Anne's passing.  I took ballet lessons as well but not from Miss Hunter.  Anne and I always had a little chat whenever we met which was not very often, mostly at reunions.  She will be missed.

I also grew up in Lynn Valley with Anne. I'm glad some one else remembered her book and illustrations.  Anne also tried to get Bill's attention but I won out and married him.  I talked to her on the phone a few times, saw her on Lonsdale with "Wolf" her dog but lost contact with her after our 50th Reunion.  She had a son, I think his name was Lance and a brother Tony.

As I remember she had two sons.  I think the younger son was Jason though I can't remember their surnames. I wonder who has those beautiful paintings.  I know that Anne was twice married but very unhappily.  Peace now dear friend.

my memory of anne is of her and her brother and i making a climbing trek into the mountains and getting lost. Her brother saved us by climbing a tree and spotting the creek which we followed down the mtn

Anne came and said a loving hello at the  1st reunion

She had such a loving heart which she shared with everyone
