Don Armstrong was hit by a car and killed while changing a tire on the side of the road in Alberta. Don's younger brother, Ken, married Jo Ann's younger sister, Debby. Therefore, Ken is my brother in law. Ken is the entreprenuer who created the Sussex Insurance franchise.
The accident occurred in 1980 when Don was 40 years old. He was well off the road changing a tire on the Trans Canada near Canmore. Some young driver fell asleep, veered off the road and crashed into Don and his pasenger. Both were killed.
