Marg died May 26, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband Al Johnson (West Van High) by a couple of years.
Marg and I were best friends. We met in grade 10 at Hamilton Jr. High. Bill and I and her boyfriend (later husband) had great times. Al was a little older and he had a car!
They came babysitting with us. Later Bill and I babysat their goldfish and later still their girls (Donna and Debbie). She was our matron of honour and our friendship continued until she passed away. Today, we still see Donna and Debbie.
Marg and Al were very dear friends and we think of them often, especially when we look out over the water toward the island. We had some fun times together down in Vegas as well as here and on the island. Recently we were able to visit with their daughter Donna at Jo Ann and Bill's. It was fun to reminisce and have a smile about the past.
