Who doesn't remember Hillcrest music store on Lonsdale? I used to hang out with Doreen at her Dad's store on many a Saturday afternoon, listening to all the latest tunes. She was such a great gal and will be sadly missed. My condolences to her family. R.I.P. dear friend.
Iremember Doreen as being a lively member of Miss Crutes french ? 91 class. As we struggled with all the ins and outs outs of learning a new language. Boring verbs. Her sense of fun and humour was lovely. . Later on in life my only sister Caroline became a teaching assistant at Hillside ( I think it was) School, West Van where Doreen was a teacher and they worked together and enjoyed each other for several years. Her sense of fun and adventure still well intact. Sorry to hear she is not longer with us......I was unable to find the announcement of her death in this site which still confounds me at times.
