It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Gordon, our father, grandpapa and our friend, at his residence, in his 81st year. Predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Carmen Timbers (nee Baillargeon). He will be greatly missed by too many family and friends to mention. With respecting Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Children's Wish Foundation or the Ottawa Humane Society. Our sincere condolences to Gordon's family.  I knew Gordon when we worked together at Agriculture Canada, first at the Engineering and Statistical Research Centre and later at the Research Branch Headquarters. Gord was intelligent, balanced and fair.  He was enjoyable to work with and to consider as a friend.  He will be missed.  He made a significant contribution to the Canadian food processing industry.

John and I treasure the many years of friendship we have enjoyed with Gordon at lac Corbeau. Whether playing games or sailing or sitting in the afternoons together just talking, our times with Gordon (and Carmen) are very special memories. When Gordon passed his 470 sailboat on to John, we were both overcome with his generosity. We will miss you, Gordon.

Gord was a wonderful gentleman that I enjoyed talking with and curling with for several years at the Ottawa Hunt Golf and Curling Club. He will be missed.

Gord was a valued member of my Tuesday night curling team at the Ottawa Hunt Club for several years, having successfully transitioned to the "stick" to keep his game going as a solid second. We shared many discussions about his antique cars and love of visiting Cuba with family members. On behalf of Archie MacDonald, Michael Mott, David Hutchison and Greg Pattison and his many other friends at the Hunt, I express our most sincere condolences.  John Noble

Dear Family of Gordon,

I was very sorry to hear of your loss.  I have many fond memories of working with Gordon at Agriculture Canada.
An even fonder recollection is that it was Gordon who introduced me to Lac Corbeau where Gordon's family and mine built cottages in the 1970s and have enjoyed them ever since. Roger Eyvindson

Nous sommes grandement attristés par le décès de mon oncle Gordon, un homme profondément bon qui avait à cœur le bonheur et le bien-être de ses proches. Nous avons passé de très beaux moments ensemble. Il nous manquera beaucoup.

It is with true sadness that Gord is gone. DOug and I have played many a game of curling with him and always had good laughs, cheeky comments about the others but always a good time and good games.
Our deepest condolences to the family.

I've known Gord for many years through the Ottawa Healy Club.   I've always really enjoyed his company.   He was such a wonderful man.   He's been to our house for meetings and I've usually chosen to sit beside him at dinners.  Conversation with him was so easy and always interesting.  I've always thought of him as such a very kind man.   I am truly sorry for your loss.  My thoughts and prayers reach our to the family.

I will sorely miss the chats we had about "the Healey" and the constant good-natured fun we would poke at each other. I would question the slow progress he was making on the restoration and he would tell me, in no uncertain terms, where to go and what to do there !!!! I hope he is tooling around in his heavenly Healey now. Gone from here, but always remembered! Safe travels Gord!
