After NHS, I got a degree from Utah State Univ and taught PE/health in Idaho Falls for a year. Moved to Dayton Idaho to my husband's family farm. Helped with the farm and substituted at the local high school until 1995 when I went back to college and got a second bachelors degree; this time in special education. I am currently teaching at West Side High in Dayton, Id, and working as a consultant for Academy Ranches which is a local residential facility. I also work as a transition mentor for the Idaho State Dept of Ed.
Our five children have scattered to Colorado, Florida, Utah and Idaho which allows us to do a lot of traveling to see our twelve grandchildren. I am still enjoying good health and am happy with what I am doing. I would love to hear from you.
I retired from teaching in May of 2016. I was just getting used to planning my own days and sleeping in when the school called and ask if I would consider coming back to help them this year. So as of October 1, 2017 I am teaching elementary SPED. A bit of a learning curve to work with little people after so many years at the high school. It's good to be involved again. Looking forward to May.

School Story:

Many of my favorite memories come from being involved with the band. I remember staying at UCLA, marching at a SanDiego Chargers game, and Disney Land, the Snake River Stampede, Vale Rodeo, marching in the Ontario and Boise Christmas parades (and having my reed freeze to the mouth piece), hours of practice on the football field, being in Payette when the stands collapsed, being nervous at our first concert and confident at our last one. Great memories of great times with great people!!!!!
