Robin "Rob" Thigpen

Rob Thigpen (March 8, 1963 - January 15, 2010)

PORT LAVACA Rob Thigpen, 46, of Port Lavaca and formerly of Odessa, passed away January 15, 2010.

He was born March 8, 1963 in Denver, Colo. to Ila Elliott Thigpen. He was the Fire Marshal and Building Official for the City of Port Lavaca and was previously employed by the city of Odessa Fire Department as an Arson Investigator. He also served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, LaDonna Thigpen; daughter, Megan Enriquez and husband, Michael; son, Matthew Thigpen; mother, Ila Thigpen all of Port Lavaca; brother, Tony Thigpen and wife, Crissy of Colorado; grandchildren, Brityn and Jordyn Enriquez of Port Lavaca; grandmother, Marjorie Tilley of Pueblo, Colo.; nephew, Shawn Siebert of Colorado; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Bauer Community Center with Military Honors under the auspices of the Calhoun County Veterans Joint Honor Guard.

Memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson, 1515 Holcombe, Houston, TX 77030.

We bumped into eachother here & there over the yrs since school & want you to know, you still will be missed. May God be with your family and comfort them......
