Les Folsom (May 30 1974 - August 12 1990)

In the 16 short years he lived, Les lived life to its fullest. He was one of the hardest workers I ever knew. He loved his family and would do any thing for them. I can remember many nights waiting for him to finish his farm chores so we could go walk the strip, go to a dance, or arm wrestle all night.
I remember this one time, Les had this old suzuki street bike. They also had this ramp for loading cows into a semi. This ramp was about five feet tall and solid steel. Les gets a run at it and hits it at about 45m.p.h. He launches straight up in the air and comes down on the front wheel. He then proceeds to ride a front wheelie. Somehow he doesn't crash and burn. Me, I would have been scared to death after that. Any one who knew Les, knew what he did next. He did it again, and again , and again. Somehow he managed to do it without crashing.
Les was one of kind. They don't make them that way anymore. And thank God for all of us that have kids!!

Les definatly was a one of a kind. Fortunatly for all who knew him he was also a great friend. Les was one of the funniest boys. I remember one day in Mr. Sanborns class, Les was goofing off. Mr. Sanborn stopped class and had Les sit in the middle of the room on a stool and do something to make us laugh. He thought that might cure his need to be funny. Yeah it was funny, but Les continued to make us laugh the rest of class. Les died one day before my 15th birthday. That was a day anyone who knew him will never forget. For all who knew him, Les wil remain in our hearts forever.
