Mark Allred

Mark was born in Idaho Falls and was the youngest of seven. He grew up in Harrisville and had the good fortune to become part of a large group of lifelong friends,  He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission in the Southern States Mission. Where he made more wonderful friends, some of which he considered his South Caroline family. He held many callings in the Church. He married Konra Deem in 1963 they had 4 children, 1 of which died as an infant, They later divorced but remanied good friends. In 1977 he had the chance to spend  6 months working in Kuwait, which was an eye-opening experience, when he returned he met and married his second wife Julia Ann Cottrell.  She brought a daughter to this union and they  soon added 2 more to make their family complete. He started his own business of selling animal health products,. This soon grew into manufacturing produtcs for mainly performance horses. He and is wife were able to travel all over the states. Making new friends. He loved his family and was excited by each new baby.  A degenerative muscle disease left him in a wheelchair and in constant pain, but he was always cheerful and willing to help others if he could. He died on January 28th 2017
