So sorry our beautiful Merle is gone from us....too soon. I was in grade school with her and got to listen to her beautiful voice many times. I remember one time she had a recital when she was young, probably about 5th grade and my mom found out about it and made me go with her and it was so wonderful that I've never forgotten it........

I loved Merle and her angelic voice.  It was wonderful to see her at our last class reunion. I'm sure she has her beautiful voice back again and singing in the choirs in heaven.

I had the privilege of singing in a trio with Merle and Carolyn Stock for several years and we all studied singing with the same singing teacher. Even though I attended Ben Lomond, I considered Merle one of the choisest people I could claim as a friend. I look forward to singing with her on the other side of the veil.    Jean Holbrook Mathews

I'm so sorry to hear Merle passed away.  I loved hearing her voice and she had such a bubbly personality.  Was so enjoyable to be around her.

I was so sorry to hear Merle passed.  We were great friends for many years and I lost touch with her after school and I moved to CA.  I'm making CD's of our A Cappella Choirs concerts (2).  One includes a solo by Merle.  Even in the choir CD you can hear her beautiful soprano voice.  So distinctive.  If any one has any recordings of her in trios etc I would love to have a copy..and would make more to share with the rest of her fans.  Roselene (Lee) Holloway.  I can be reached at leehollowayca@aol.com.

Merle was always so much fun to be with.  If I was already in a great mood, she always made me even happier.  Whenever she walked into a room, the room scintillated.  We've lost Merle, but we've still got the memories.
