In 1975 Fred Cox finally married me after chasing him since the 6th Grade! I had brought along three cute little Durand boys that were part of the package. Fred has been a very good father to them. Together we have had two more boys and one daughter. Having five boys has been great but to have a wonderful daughter is very special. They are all good kids, have nice families, and good jobs. All but our son Ryan live within 10 miles to us. Ryan is a designer for Macy's Dept store in N.Y.. We have eight grandchildren that all live close by except one. They keep us busy going on trips, attending various activities, or baby sitting. Last week "Good Old Grandma" went tubing down the Ogden River many times with a grandchild attached in some way. And of course grandma has to have a seasonal Lagoon pass to ride every ride and lots of motions pills on hand. Even "Wicked". What we don't do for our grandchildren, right? Fred built us the nice home that we live in in good old Hooper. He can do anything he sets his mind to if he wants to. A real handy man and still can be a challenge. We own my parents 20 acre farm here in Hooper. Fred always has horses, and various other animals so he grows hay to feed them. He has lots of farms pets around. He is a good father and husband. We have been on several very nice trips both near and far throughout the years. We both retired from HAFB 2007. I love to decorate our home with lots of antiques and fun things. My very favorite hobby is Oil Painting which includes: old houses/barns/roses, etc. I also like stained glass and have made some windows for our home. I am quite comfortable with building tools and am not afraid to take on numerous projects. Such as bird houses, remodel a room, etc. Sometimes I take on too many things but it keeps me thinking and I guess that's OK. I am blessed to have good health so far and always have a project. For many years at Halloween time I turn into a witch and show up in lots of places. You might even see me at Dinosaur Park. Just look for the ugly one with a big tall hat. What a reputation! Right now I am making dried arrangement's to put in a store. As long as the flowers/weeds keep growing, I can buy paint, and the D. I. is open I am in business. Sometimes it is hard to make something out of NOTHING but the challenge is fun. I have always been very active in our church...it is a good way of life and works for me.
